2024/25 Eastwood Youth Squad

Our new 2024/25 Youth Squad is for members 23 and under, to help improve their golf via group lessons with Brian and Ryan, build more friendships at the club and work towards the 2025 Youth Pennant season.

An ‘Eastwood Youth Squad Registration Sheet’ is set up along with the regular online timesheets on November 1st for all registrations.

For the first time in nearly a decade, Eastwood has entered a Youth Pennant team for the 2025 season, which is super exciting!

We’ve had a great influx of young members join our club, so be sure to say g’day and have a chat when you see any unfamiliar faces around the club.

Updated Competition Structure – From October 1st

Following resounding feedback in the recent member survey, from October 1^st, a new competition fee and payout structure will be introduced into all club competitions.

The following will come into effect:

Removal of the $2 Ball Comp
Competition fee to increase to $10
In fields of over 85, Runner Up Prizes will be awarded in each grade. Maximum winners’ prize will be $80, while the maximum runner up prize will be $40
Addition of a $5 rundown, where the top 20% of the field (excluding overall winners) will receive $5 onto their prize account.
Removal of Great Score Payouts (2’s and eagles).
Note: NTP’s and the $1 Pro Pin will remain unchanged

Overall, the objective is to more fairly distribute prize winnings across our whole membership, while simplifying the competitions on offer.

The introduction of runner up prizes in bigger fields, along with the $5 rundown will reward those that have played well.

Twilight Golf!

Daylight saving is fast approaching, with Thursday Twilight Golf starting straight away on October 10th. As has been the case in previous years, weekly prizes will be awarded, as well as a season long Twilight Points race with prizes up for grabs, where the top 10 individual finishers each week will score points.

This year, we’re introducing a new Thursday Team Twilight event, which will begin from Thursday November 7th. Teams of 4, will have their best two Stableford scores count each week, with a points system TBC depending on the final number of teams.

There is timesheet attached to November 7th, where teams can start to book in for this season.
