Introducing the prestigious – and proudly tongue-in-cheek – O.B.E. Award: Over Bloody Eighty! This exclusive honour is reserved for those senior members who have not only reached the milestone age of 80, but have also shown unwavering commitment by playing in over 50 senior events.
It’s a way of recognising remarkable staying power, a great love of the game, and perhaps just a hint of stubbornness. While the O.B.E. has been unofficially awarded for some time, we’re now giving it and its recipients the spotlight, starting with the latest O.B.E. inductees: Laurie Taylor, Jack Huel, and Peter Ross – living proof that age is just a number, especially when it’s on your scorecard.
